These days, the questions are bigger and the problems are more fun. I love getting into a room with smart people, covering a whiteboard in "half-baked" ideas, and digging until we find the BEST one. Then I get to do my other favorite thing- figure out how to actually pull it off.
Turns out, younger me had the right idea. I still want to see behind the curtain, but NOW I get to help decide what happens back there.
As a kid, I couldn’t just watch a commercial. I needed to know why that song was stuck in my head, how they made the food look THAT good, and who decided a talking gecko could sell car insurance. Curiosity had a chokehold on me and I deeply needed to see behind the magical multimedia curtain.
That curiosity led me through graphic design, multimedia journalism, photography, video production, and seven years on an in-house marketing team. Along the way, my questions got more pointed. Who are we trying to reach? What do they even care about? Which idea is worth building a campaign around?
